Download mIRC. All versions are not the same, the older ones are free, not sure about the newer ones.
If a screen pops up for you to register or donation,
Just give it a few seconds and the "Continue" button will allow you to connect without registering or donating.

You need to find OPTIONS.. sometimes this is under FILE, sometimes it is under TOOLS

Make sure you put your name that you want people in the chatr oom to see.
They will also be able to find your Email address that you put here.

Again, some versions are different.
You will need to ADD the server we are using.
Click ADD

You will need to type in the information you see here.
Make no mistakes. then click ADD

Now you want to set it so that when you connect, it automatically goes to the #greendragonquest channel.
There are tons of servers and tons of channels.
We don't want you to get lost. So click PERFORM

Make sure the check box is checked, otherwise this will do you no good at all.
Type sure you type this just as it is. BUT where you see "password"
you will need to type in YOUR password that you used when you registered your nickname in the channel.
If you Never did register, well shame on you.
For now then, just don't put that part in. Make sure you have /join #greendragonquest
Then hit OK

Now if you want to listen to all the cool sounds we play in channel.. and trust me.. you do. XD
You will need to ENABLE SOUNDS. Make sure that little box is checked.
You do not have to do any of the other, thats up to you.
Then hit OK

Now you have to tell it where you want the sounds to go when you download them.
A sounds folder was created when you installed mIRC.
Click the button to locate your sound folder...

Select your sound folder so that its highlighted and then click OK

TO GET A SOUND MANUALLY, TYPE:
!name of person playing sound nameofwav.wav ex: !Seasons chiplaff.wav

You might see or hear a window popup that wants you to "accept" the file.
This means that the file will be coming from whoever you named, !Seasons for instance, and going to YOUR computer.

TO PLAY A SOUND YOU HAVE, TYPE:
/sound nameofwav.wav
You can search for sounds on the net if you don't have enough! =) Just be sure to put them in mIRC/sounds
You might want to print out a list of all the sounds so you can use them easily.
